AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – One person is dead after a vehicle struck a pedestrian west of Airway Heights Thursday evening, according to Washington State Patrol.

The crash occurred on Highway 2 near the Spokane Tribe Casino, shortly after 10 p.m.

According to WSP, all eastbound lanes of Highway 2 are blocked near Fairview Heights Road.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
