EASTERN AND CENTRAL WASHINGTON – More votes from the August 5 primary election have been tallied in southeastern and central Washington, and early outcomes indicate potential changes in leadership and most tax levies leaning toward approval.
Connell is set for a new mayor as current Mayor Lee Barrow stepped down. The candidates vying for the position are council members Shelly Harper and Patricia Barrera, and Navy veteran Irineo Salas. Harper currently leads with 52%, followed by Barrera at 34%.
