The spouse of a missing Scottish woman has shared his shock at the response he received when seeking assistance in Greece, claiming his appeals being met with laughter.

Chris Bourda, 66, dozed off on a sunbed only to wake and discover his wife, 59 year old Michele Ann Joy Bourda, had gone missing. Despite her personal items, including her towel, still being on the sunbed, there was no sign of Michele on Friday afternoon.

Continuing his search in Kavala, Greece, Chris said he encountered mockery when he inquired about Michele to a beachside restaurant waiter. It took the persistence of Chris, a pharmacist by trade, to convince a local shopkeeper to call the authorities.
