A four-year-old has sadly died after an accident involving a bus in front of a Kent hospital. Kent Police said the bus was being driven near the entrance of the A&E department of Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital in Margate on Thursday (August 7).
"The bus, a white single decker vehicle, was travelling near the entrance to the A&E department. It is reported that the pedestrian, a four year old boy, left the hospital on foot and a collision took place," said a police spokesperson.
"The boy was taken inside the hospital and a short while later was sadly confirmed deceased. His next of kin has been informed," they said.
Police were called to Ramsgate Road shortly after 4pm yesterday, following a report of the incident involving a "bus and a pedestrian" outside the hospital.
