Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Alejandro Garnacho but remain in talks with Manchester United over a transfer fee, according to reports.
Garnacho has wanted to leave United this summer but is keen to stay in the Premier League and join a Champions League side, making Chelsea favourites for his signature.
The Argentina international fell out with Ruben Amorim at the end of last season and was omitted from the club’s pre-season tour of the United States this summer.
Garnacho has trained away from United’s first-team squad as he continues to hold out for a move to Chelsea.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho has already agreed personal terms ahead of a potential switch to Stamford Bridge but United and Chelsea do not have an agreement in place over a fee for the 21-year-old.
