COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Good Friday morning! As we wrap up the workweek, clouds have returned to kick off the day. Temperatures are holding steady in the low 70s, with a few spots dipping into the upper 60s.

Cloud cover is expected to linger through much of the morning and into the afternoon, although we may see occasional breaks of sunshine. Despite the cloudiness, highs will climb into the mid to upper 80s by the afternoon.

Looking ahead to the weekend, rain chances gradually increase. Saturday will feature hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms, while Sunday brings a more isolated chance for rain as tropical moisture begins to move back into the region.
