Rockford, IL — The newest slot machines at Hard Rock Casino Rockford pay homage to hometown rock and roll legend Rick Nielsen.

The custom machines, called Rick Nielsen's Five Neck Fortune, were unveiled during a special ceremony Aug. 7 at the casino.

As the casino readies to celebrate its upcoming one-year anniversary, officials hired British artist Shannon MacDonald to design a slot machine that would honor Nielsen.

“From the moment we opened, we knew Rick had to be at the heart of Hard Rock Rockford,” Geno Iafrate, president of Hard Rock Casino Rockford, said in a news release. “This custom game brings his energy, his story and his legendary guitar to life on our floor.”
