SUFFOLK, Va.(WAVY)-- Suffolk Fire & Rescue crews responded to a house fire Thursday night.

According to officials, crews were called to the 400 block of Wilson Street at 11:38 p.m. for the report of a residential structure fire. When crews arrived, they found heavy black smoke showing from a two-story residential structure. Crews were able to place the fire under control just after midnight. The residence sustained heavy smoke and fire damage.
