MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man who served time in prison for the kidnapping and murder of nursing student Holly Bobo loses an appeal to get out of prison on gun charges.

Jason Autry, 50, a 16-time convicted felon, served eight years for solicitation of first-degree murder and facilitation of especially aggravated kidnapping in Bobo's death in 2011.

He also served time for being a felon in possession of a handgun.

The United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Tennessee said approximately 25 days after his September 2020 release from prison, Autry was found in possession of a gun, which he had stolen. And within 78 days of his release, he possessed other guns and ammunition.
