Pulling up to the petrol station pump and realising your tank is on the opposite side of the car is a frustrating moment. While some pumps have long hoses that will reach around with a bit of heaving, others don't and you are forced to move. ‌

But there's a neat clue that means drivers won't be caught out again when filling up. It's on your dashboard and, for many, it's been hidden in plain sight. ‌
