Ten people have been struck down after eating 'contaminated' broccoli, with one man dying and nine rushed to hospital - sparking an investigation and a mass recall. Luigi Di Sarno passed away after buying a broccoli and sausage sandwich from a food truck . The 52-year-old purchased the snack in Cosenza, Italy.
The artist and musician collapsed and couldn't be saved after eating the sandwich, which he had got at the prvince's Diamante seafront. The Mirror reports the victims, said to include two teenagers, were all taken to the intensive care unit of Annunziata Hospital in the town.
