DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Darke County Thursday.

According to the Darke County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred around 5:32 p.m. at the round-about intersection of U.S. Route 36 West and State Route 121 South.

Deputies, Tri-Village Rescue, New Madison Fire, Union City EMS and the Greenville Police Department all responded to the crash.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a blue Ford Fusion was traveling east on U.S. Route 36 West when the vehicle struck the center of the round-about.

The Fusion then veered off the left side of the road before swerving back on to it. The vehicle proceeded to strike the east side of the round-about curb and then veered off the road again, this time to the right. The vehicle came to a stop at that
