DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- A brand new mental health and wellness center is set to open its doors, giving broader access to mental health support for kids throughout the Miami Valley.

The Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness will be Dayton Children's main hospital for mental health services.

It's located on Valley Street near downtown Dayton.

The center is a project years in the making and one that cost $110 million to establish.

Ahead of its grand opening, Governor Mike DeWine took a tour of the facility.

"This is something that is really important for the Miami Valley," DeWine said. "If you have a child, who is having a mental health problem, this is the place you can call. This is a place you can come."
