Munster-based Finward Bancorp said Thursday that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions have terminated a consent order issued to the bank in late 2023.

The parent of Peoples Bank had been accused of “unsafe and unsound banking practices” related to the Bank Secrecy Act, or BSA.
