'Two hours in the sun ruined my £5,000 holiday, now I'm warning others'
Shannon Armer was left wrapped in bandages and bed bound by the end of her family holiday in Portugal after just two hours in the sun. The severity of her burns even shocked her doctors when she got back home, as she’d opted to ditch travel insurance and couldn’t get help abroad.
The 25-year-old was on a five-day all-inclusive holiday in Albufeira, Portugal with her nan and brother. On the very first day, the Brit headed out into the 30C heat with factor 30 on.
She told NeedToKnow: “I’d only been laying in the sun for two hours and I was wearing factor 30.
