A heavy load could slow down traffic as it travels across the county next week. The 'abnormal load' will move through Offord D'Arcy and St Neots next Friday (August 15), in a journey that will end at Lincoln.

Traffic could be held to allow the object to pass. 'Abnormal load' is the term used for an item that is either wider or longer than normal heavy goods vehicles – or both wider and longer.

A Cambridgeshire County Council spokesperson explained: "Please be aware we have an abnormal load coming through Cambridgeshire on the 15th August between 12pm and 6pm.
