Whiting's faculty and coaching positions have experienced frequent turnover in recent years.

It's been a slippery trend many hope will stabilize moving forward.

The School City of Whiting has made three key administrative changes this summer, suggesting a positive shift for the district.

Dave Verta was appointed superintendent in May, followed by the early July announcement of David Borsits as the new middle and high school principal. Most recently, Adam Musielak was hired as the district's new athletic director and dean of students.

Musielak — who led the Oilers baseball program from 2015 to 2020 — said the recent wave of administration changes motivated him to pursue the position.
