A much-loved Turkish restaurant in the Merchant City has announced it's set to open its latest concept in the city centre.

Turkiye EFES confirmed they will be opening their third venture, Meyhane, on the corner of West Regent Street and Hope Street in the near future.

Taking over the former Verona restaurant site, the owners revealed it will be a "bold and vibrant" Turkish meze bar and restaurant.

Meyhane will follow up their recent expansion which saw them opening the second Turkiye EFES in Uddingston .

Posting about the new project on Instagram, they stated: "Brace yourselves, Glasgow. We're turning up the heat with a brand-new concept - introducing Meyhane, a bold and vibrant Turkish Meze Bar & Restaurant.
