A Glasgow TUI flight was diverted to Manchester Airport following a "minor technical fault" in the air.
TUI flight BY314 to Sharm el-Sheikh departed Glasgow Airport at 3.45pm on Thursday, August 7, before making a loop back towards Manchester Airport while flying over the North Sea.
The aeroplane landed safely in Manchester at 4.52pm. It is understood the problem was due to an issue relating to the weather radar system.
TUI confirmed to Glasgow Live that the diversion was all part of standard protocol and that the issue was fixed within two hours.
The flight then departed from Manchester Airport at 6.13pm and made a safe landing in Egypt shortly after 1am.
