Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this week in Fairburn that police say happened during a gun and drug exchange.

According to Fulton County arrest warrants, Christopher Jayson Carter, 20, and K’Mari Javon Sloan, 18, are both charged with murder in the death of Tyeler Jackson. Carter also faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.

Fairburn police said officers were called to an address on Mayfern Trace just after 5 p.m. Wednesday after a report of a person shot. Officers found Jackson on the ground with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and a pool of blood behind the head.
