A Michigan State Police trooper suffered minor injuries Wednesday, Aug. 6, when they were struck by a vehicle while out of their patrol unit at a crash scene on U.S. 41 in Marquette County.

The trooper sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, the MSP Eighth District said on X. The trooper was treated and subsequently released.

The driver who struck the trooper was a 57-year-old woman from Laurium, Michigan.

The incident took place about 9:45 a.m. on U.S. 41 in Marquette Township. Troopers from the MSP Negaunee Post were at the scene of a personal injury crash.
