ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) -- A death investigation sparked a heavy police presence in Alexandria Friday morning, according to officials.
Details regarding the investigation remain limited; however, in a post on X just after 7:15 a.m., the Alexandria Police Department said a death investigation was underway in the 4300 block of King St.
As a result, eastbound King Street was down to one lane and police closed the sidewalk from Hampton to Park Center.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the investigation remain unclear.
