JAMESTOWN — The Stutsman County Park Board approved in a 6-0 vote tabling the sale and issuing a permit to new operators for Spiritwood Lake Resort.

Park board member Henry Steinberger was not present at the meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

The park board also unanimously approved tabling a request to enter into a consent to collateral assignment of permit agreement with the American State Bank of Grygla.

Rob and Leah Brooks requested a 25-year permit through Bruxz Enterprises LLC for Spiritwood Lake Resort. They plan to purchase Spiritwood Lake Resort.

Rob Brooks, who is originally from Oklahoma, said he saw the resort was for sale and visited it a few times. He said Leah Brooks, a Jamestown native, knew about the resort but he had not visited the place before Christmas.
