Seven people were killed and four injured in six crashes on Arkansas roads from Aug. 1 to Tuesday, according to preliminary reports from law enforcement.
Randy Potter, 72, of Shirley was killed around 9:51 a.m. on Aug. 1 when the 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 he was a passenger in left Arkansas 25 in Cleburne County and struck a utility pole guy cable and a tree, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.
The impact caused the truck to overturn and eject Potter and the driver, 69-year-old Rickey Ray, also of Shirley, who was taken to a Little Rock hospital for treatment.
Nathan Holland, 35, of Conway and Christopher Lonix, 40, of Russellville were killed around 5:22 p.m. on Aug. 1 when the 2013 Dodge that Lonix was a passenger in collided head-on with the 2009 Lexus that Holland was dr
