Conway, circa 1910: Joe Frauenthal was described during the Civil War by a fellow Confederate soldier as “… though insignificant, in battle had the heart of a lion.” After the war Frauenthal settled in Conway, becoming a successful businessman and building this house at 631 Western Ave. The house seems to be long gone.
