A popular restaurant chain is set to close one of its branches in Kent at the end of the month. Pizza Hut has announced the closure of its store on Canterbury High Street on August 30.
The branch served customers for decades in the high street. A spokesperson for Pizza Hut said the decision was made after evaluating the location of Huts with its franchisee partners.
They said: "We continually work with our franchisee partners to evaluate the location of Huts to ensure they are in the best possible areas to meet consumer demand, and unfortunately the Pizza Hut restaurant on Canterbury High Street will close.
"We continue to have a strong presence in the area with a takeaway venue located on Dover Road where customers can continue to enjoy their favourite pizzas.”
