LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Arrest documents claim a man who engaged in a three-hour standoff with Lufkin officers was making threats after his girlfriend broke up with him.
City of Lufkin PIO Jacqueline Zimmerman said police were called to an apartment in the 400 block of Montrose Street at about 11:45 a.m. on July 27 for a domestic disturbance.
An affidavit obtained through an open records request says the disturbance took place when the suspect, Francisco Javier Farfan Jr., 20, refused to let a woman leave.
She was attempting to take her property from the apartment, but Farfan yelled in her face and pulled her back into the home by her arm, the document says. Her mother, who was also present, reportedly called the police.
According to the affidavit, Farfan saw her on the phone and said i
