ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE)– Sturdy Health will be celebrating the groundbreaking of a 38,000 square foot addition to Sturdy Memorial Hospital’s emergency department on Friday morning.
The two-story addition to the existing department will nearly double its capacity, and improve the hospital’s technology.
According to Sturdy’s website, included among the additions are a “reimagined helipad” as well as 18 new patient exam rooms and a secure 12-bed behavioral health unit.
Attendees for the 10:30 groundbreaking include Sen. Ed Markey, Rep. Jake Auchincloss and Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll.
