Three years after one of London’s oldest outdoor pools closed due to flooding damage, city hall is finally eyeing replacement sites.

Six parks in central London have been identified in a city staff report as being large enough and close enough to Thames Park to host a new indoor pool and community centre, intended to replace the outdoor pool that closed in 2022.

Despite the potential sites and the pool service gap in central London, city staff recommend holding off on a new centre until London’s parks and recreation master plan update is complete.
