ARCHBOLD, Ohio — 150 employees were given the pink slip at Sauder Woodworking in Archbold - one of the county's largest employers.

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners confirmed the layoffs to WTOL 11 on Thursday, and County Administrator Dennis Kennedy said he believes the layoffs move the total number of employees at the company to below 1,000.

Commissioners said they're working to help workers find new employment.

OhioMeansJobs of Fulton County partnered with Sauder Woodworking to assist with the transition of the layoffs, and said it plans to hold two events next week to help the impacted workers. During these events, the organization said it will help affected employees explore job opportunities, apply for unemployment benefits and access training and local resources.
