More than nine months after a security guard was shot and killed on Oct. 3, 2024, at the Dragon Arcade on Jacksonville’s Westside, the U.S. Marshals captured a 25-year-old wanted in the murder.

Quraan Osiris Goodman has been charged with second-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, armed burglary with assault or battery, attempted armed robbery, and aggravated assault.

According to his arrest report, a warrant was issued for Goodman’s arrest on July 2, 2025, and he was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Jacksonville on July 22.

Police said the shooting inside the business on Edgewood Avenue North left Ronald Dewitt Matthews III dead and two other civilians injured.
