SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Louisiana Film Prize announced its Top 20 short film finalists on Thursday evening at Nobel Savage restaurant in downtown Shreveport.

"So who is ready to open some envelopes and find out the Top 20?" said Film Prize executive director Gregory Kallenberg to a cheering crowd.

The films will compete for the world`s largest cash prize for a short film, $50,000, at Prize Fest 2025 happening October 15-19.

"It's a convening of filmmakers from all over the county that are here because Shreveport-Bossier is not only the Independent Film making capital, but this community has built itself up to be something very special," said Kallenberg.
