SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) - Happy Friday, Utah! Slightly cooler temperatures are expected in Northern Utah today following the passage of a dry cold front.

The bottom line? Cooler air moves into Northern Utah while fire danger holds in the South.

The dry cold front moved through northern Utah and stalled in central Utah, bringing decreasing winds by the weekend and a noticeable decrease in temperatures today. Expect temperatures along the Wasatch Front to stay in the mid to upper 80s, with low 90s expected through central Utah. High heat sticks around in Southern Utah with triple digits holding on in St. George, Moab, the Four Corners and near Lake Powell.

Since the cold front stalls, areas south of it will still see elevated, gusty winds paired with these hot temperatures and dry condition
