A group of House Democrats, led by Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), is pushing for a congressional hearing with victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. The lawmakers argue that these survivors possess firsthand accounts that are crucial to a complete investigation and may not be adequately documented in Department of Justice records.

The call, directed at House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY), was detailed in a letter signed by Pressley and other prominent Democrats on the panel, including Reps. Robert Garcia
