KENNEWICK — WSU Tri-Cities is tapping into the growing interest in craft beer with the launch of a new professional certificate program.

The Brewing Certificate blends flexible online learning with immersive, in-person experiences. The year long hybrid program officially begins in September 2025 and aims to make brewing education more accessible, both in terms of format and affordability, according to a news release.

Designed for everyone from passionate hobbyists to people looking to change careers, the program requires no previous brewing experience and emphasizes both scientific foundations and practical skill building.
