AUSTIN, Texas — As back-to-school season ramps up, Austin-area families have a new opportunity to save money and support small businesses with the Back- to-School Craft and Vendor Market.

The event is set for Saturday and Sunday at Fareground Austin, bringing together local vendors offering school supplies, treats, handmade crafts, home decor, clothing and other unique items tailored to students, parents and teachers. Organizers say the market is designed to highlight Austin’s small business scene while providing students with unique items.

“Maybe they want to get an initial on their backpack, or a binder that has their name on it," Kelsey Deshay from Kylo Artistry said. "The vendor market provides something a bit more personal and special for students."
