A 33-year-old man was fatally shot in the head on a Bronx commercial strip, police said Friday.

The victim was passing a row of stores on Westchester Ave. near Morrison Ave. in the Soundview section of the Bronx, underneath the MTA’s elevated No. 6 line , at about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday when a gunman opened fire.

A bullet struck the victim in the head, police said.

EMS rushed him to Jacobi Hospital , where he died. His name has not been released as cops track down relatives.

The gunman fled the scene. No arrests have been made.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately disclosed.

Detectives were scouring the area for surveillance footage to help them identify the shooter and track his movements after the killing.
