Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse tight end Jamie Tremble, the team’s top-ranked recruit from the Class of 2024, has been sidelined early in training camp due to muscle spasms in one of his legs.
Tremble made a nice catch in one of the Orange’s first practice sessions but has worn a green non-contact jersey for the past week, including the segment of practice that was open to reporters on Thursday.
Syracuse tight ends coach Mike Johnson said that Tremble’s status on the sideline has been largely precautionary so that the Orange can be sure that he is healthy when the season starts.
“He’s got a little spasm in his leg so we’re just taking it easy on him, make sure we have him closer to the game,” Johnson said. “Making sure we don’t pull it and that he’ll be OK.”
