There will be some new faces on the Douglas High School football sideline this season, but don’t for a moment think that’ll change the Tigers’ identity.
Head coach Kyle Mays enters his fifth year at the helm of the Douglas football program, and the Tigers will get another run at the Northern 5A, which has some new teams from a season ago.
Last fall, Mays was named the 5A-Division II Coach of the Year.
Competing against Douglas in the 5A this season will be Bishop Manogue, Reed, Spanish Springs, Damonte Ranch and Galena. Last season’s lower division, 5A-Division III, has essentially morphed into the 4A for this season.
