On Aug. 6 and 7 volunteers contributed their time to sort, load and deliver school supplies to schools in the area in anticipation of the upcoming school year.

Volunteers dropped by during two shifts on each day, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Boxes upon boxes of binders, notebooks, markers, crayons and every supply that a student might need in the classroom was carefully sorted, organized and delivered to their rightful destination.

“We decided this was a good cause and so we kept on doing it,” Karen Flood, a member of the serve team for the project, said.
