Steak-stealing suspect caught red (meat) handed in Rocky River: caught on camera

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (WOIO) - Rocky River police released bodycam video Thursday showing officers arrest a suspected steak thief.

This happened back on July 3 at the Giant Eagle on Center Ridge Road.

According to police, officers uncovered four packs of steaks in LeJuan Sims Jr.’s backpack.

A police report states Giant Eagle called police after Sims took the steaks into the men’s bathroom, put them in his backpack and walked out.

The steaks were valued at over $170.

Sims was arrested on theft charges.

According to the report, additional charges are expected due to Sims trying to escape custody.
