KENTUCKY —
Are you seeing more bald eagles than in past years?
A recent survey from avian biologists of Eastern Kentucky found that the bald eagle population continues to be on the rise, specifically in the eastern part of the state.
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources released the information on its social media. It said avian biologists recorded 41 eagle nests in Eastern Kentucky during the spring 2025 survey, a 20% increase from the 34 nests recorded in the 2022 survey of Eastern Kentucky.
