For the second time this year, a local attorney is accused of bringing evidence of drug usage into a Northampton County court building, the county sheriff’s office says in court records.

Stanley J. Margle III left his briefcase in the mediation courtroom at the Northampton County Courthouse on July 23, court records say. A black magnetic box and a red straw inside the box both tested positive for cocaine residue, records say.

The same bag was found in juvenile court on Feb. 13, records say.

Two bags filled with cocaine were found in a cigar case made to look like a book, according to court papers. A razor blade and two straws were also in the bag, the papers say.

Margle maintained his innocence Thursday. He was scheduled to appear in court Monday to enroll in a first-time offenders’
