CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The woman who died in a shooting that also injured two officers who were responding to a domestic assault call has been identified as Jessica Baldoz, according to Chesapeake police.

In a criminal complaint Baldoz filed in May, Baldoz told police that the suspect, 39-year-old Shaun M. Boker, was her "long-time boyfriend." In a separate criminal complaint, she told officers that he had previously lived with Boker from March 2024 until February 2025.

The incident began as a domestic violence call on Wednesday night. Officers heard her screaming for help, and as they attempted to breach the front door, two officers were shot through the door.
