A British businessman was in a relationship with his daughter-in-law, whom he is accused of trying to drown in Florida, it has been claimed.
Mark Gibbon, 62, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly holding Jasmine Wyld’s head underwater while the pair were on holiday.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at the Solterra Resort in Davenport, Florida, where Mr Gibbon was staying with Ms Wyld and her two children, on Saturday evening.
According to Ms Wyld and witnesses, Mr Gibbon was in the swimming pool with his 33-year-old daughter in-law when the pair started arguing about his grandchildren, police said.
