AUSTIN, Texas — The ongoing Texas Democratic quorum break is rippling through the state’s legislative agenda, stalling several priority items for Gov. Greg Abbott — including a heated debate over hemp and THC regulation.

House Democrats remain out of the state in protest of newly proposed congressional maps sought by former President Donald Trump, which would give Republicans five additional U.S. House seats. Their absence has effectively halted action on other legislation during the special session.
