LOGAN — Firefighters are battling a new wildfire that ignited in Sardine Canyon, US-89/91, Thursday evening.
According to Utah Fire Info, the Perry Fire, is located five miles southwest of Mantua Reservoir on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This fire has burned approximately one and a half acres in timber.
No structures have been reported damaged or threatened. No evacuations have been ordered.
Resources on scene include two engines, a squad of five, and a helicopter. A 20-person crew has also been ordered to assist.
The cause of the Perry Fire is under investigation.
