TILTON, N.H. —
A man is dead after a tractor-trailer plunged off a bridge on Interstate 93 and into a river early Friday morning.
Tilton-Northfield Fire Chief Michael Sitar told News 9, around 1:45 a.m. they got a report of the tractor-trailer that went off a bridge on I-93 southbound, past Exit 20.

The bridge goes over railroad tracks and the Winnipesaukee River.
When first responders got to the scene, they found the driver of the tractor-trailer dead. They did not find anyone else.
The truck was unstable, so it was difficult to get the driver out but they were able to get the driver out later in the morning.
Some diesel did go into the river but booms and pads were put out to keep it from going do
