COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man is facing federal charges for allegedly committing several armed robberies within six days while possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Dequan Keys, 30, was indicted on crimes related to seven total robberies and one attempted robbery in January. According to the United States Attorney’s office, he and another person allegedly stole firearms from a gun shop.
According to the indictment, Keys allegedly committed robberies between Jan. 12 and Jan. 26. Keys is accused of stealing a handgun from federal firearms licensee Vance Outdoors on Jan. 12 and Jan. 17.
The U.S. Attorney’s office said Keys allegedly brandished a firearm and robbed several convenience stores and a Little Caesars Pizza between Jan. 21 and Jan. 26.
