The closure is intended to allow firefighting aircraft and helicopters to safely draw water from the strait, according to Türkiye Today. Emergency crews are battling the blaze with eight aircraft, four helicopters, 46 water tenders, and over 270 personnel, the General Directorate of Forestry confirmed.
